Home assessment reports

We recently began offering a comprehensive, written home assessment as part of our expanded Management Services. This program provided by WDE Inc under the name of Crosspointe Home Assessments uses a typical home inspection checklist to review the home inside and out and from top to bottom.
Every part of the home is reviewed and documented from the roof, fireplaces, siding, windows, landscaping, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems. Special emphasis is placed on areas where safety is involved such as smoke and fire detectors, fire extinguishers, furnace and water heaters and other safety related concerns.
The assessment then covers areas of functionality such as doors and windows, interior and exterior painting, roof and gutter systems, drainage, etc. Specific recommendations will be made if deficiencies are noted.
The final area of the assessment covers the homes anticipated market value. Using up to date market information, we compare your property against others in the area that are similar having sold, are currently listed as active or pending closing. This will give us a snapshot of the value at specific times throughout the management contract.
Having all of the above information, owners can now make more informed decisions regarding their properties such as refinancing, home equity loans, repairs, upgrading, sales or exchange. Owners will also have written documentation at regular intervals which can assist in determining how much insurance to have on a property or areas where it should be increased.
